If you’re following me on Facebook or on Instagram, you may already have known that I took a quick one day trip to most beautiful city of Pakistan, Islamabad. Islamabad has its own charm and after visiting Islamabad, I made 3 new milestones.
- Get Admission in NUST Islamabad for my under-graduation either in CS or at NBS department.
- Buy a house in Islamabad.
- Build my own sustainable business in Islamabad.
It was purposeful
The main purpose of making a quick trip to Islamabad was to deliver a 3 hour talk on Fiverr for NUST students enrolled in Empower Pakistan’s Free Camp. It was around 5 in the morning, I got a call from Farhan. Before starting the complete story, I want to give a quick shout out to Farhan.
Farhan is a hiring genius. He is running his own Freelance Agency and he is literally a genius when it comes to hiring an employee.
P.S I once was hired by Farhan.
P.P.S Farhan is the guy I seek for hiring tips.
The next part of the story is, Farhan invited me to Islamabad to deliver a 3 hours talk on Fiverr. I was more enthusiast about it as I never visited Islamabad before, infact I never went out of city ( except once I went to Murree with Family when I was a Kid and it was not a good experience for me ).
Anyhow, we decided to do it on weekend ( which was not a good idea ). Here is the quick over view. I was supposed to be in ISL at Sunday and have to be at NEST College for the Open Day on Monday. (ouch it must be hard, isn’t it?)
But I so wanted to be in ISL so I dropped some of my Freelance work to make it flexible for me. Left home at sharp 6 in the morning, got the ticket at 7 and left for ISL at sharp 8. ( The good thing, I was being entertained with wifi all the way. Yay.. )
Reached ISL at sharp 12:30. Due to some reasons, Farhan was not in ISL and I got a chance to meet Sajid.
Sajid is a passionate Freelancer and running two freelance agencies along with Empowering Pakistan. He has really nice plans about Freelancing in Pakistan and in a month or two, he is going to start a FREE training sessions on Freelancing for Women. ( Isn’t it nice? ).
Thanks to Sajid, I really loved his hospitality. We went to NUST SEECS Department for the session, but there were only 3 guys for this session. Embarrassing right? Well, yeah, kind of. But what we can say, it was not possible for them to leave their house according to the current political situation at ISL. Anyhow, we thought to drop the plane of session, but upon my request we started on. It went good, I guess more than good.
At sharp 5, I went to Sajid house to Fresh myself ( secretly, I was having a plan to join the protest against the current government happening at ISL and luckily Sajid was enthusiast about it too ).
After having some snacks, we departed for protest at sharp 6:30. Sajid took the best roads towards the protest and I got a chance to look into beautiful ISL.
After making my presence recorded in Protest, we left to check out sexy ISL. Sajid was living in ISL for more than 10 years now and according to him, ISL didn’t miss a chance to amuse him every single time.
We took a quick visit to Faisal Mosque and my my.. what an architecture it is. ( P.S some pictures are included in the bottom of post )
After having a debate on where to do dinner, Sajid took me to The HotSpot Cafe and haha, what a funny place it is with delicious food.
Sajid dropped me all the way to Rawalpindi Terminal at 1am and I left for Lahore at sharp 1:30 . Damn man, it was a great experience for me.

P.S While to talking to Sajid. He said that he is really bad in memorizing a person’s name. Well, he is, he is! He booked me a ticket with a name of “Omair” on my return.
